A few weeks back, I went to the Turquoise Bar with some friends.  The Turquoise is a tapas bar in north Pacific Beach, near the La Jolla Blvd.  It's a great place to hang out; classy, but not too trendy, with almost a dive bar-ish feel. They have a great jazz band come in on the weekends. They are an extremely talented group of people who have a natural ability to play together.

Their music set the tone for the evening; constant thumping of the cello, loose notes from the trumpet and airy guitar riffs filled the air.  It was very dark and flash photography would have been out of the question, but there were two shots that captured the vibe of the night.  The first one I left unedited:

The background of the second photo needed a little something, so I played with it in photoshop to make it stand out.  What do you think?
